A list of 15 free fonts for designers in 2019. I use all of these free fonts on my own projects.

Fonts play a major role when creating anything graphics design or motion design related. If you are making t-shirt designs, twitter banners, introductions, infographics, etc. You will need some good looking fonts at your disposal.

Finding the best looking fonts can be a pain since they are so many out there. That’s why I’ve decided to share with you a list with the best looking 15 free fonts for designers out there. I use many of these free fonts every day when creating my templates. I must have great fonts to create my designs so using these made my projects look more professional.

Remember, although these fonts are free to download not every single one of them is free for commercial use. Some are for personal use only. Make sure you read any legal documents that come with the fonts.

So, while I’ve gathered 15 free fonts for designers that I use regularly. I also put together a PACK with over 100 free fonts that you can download.

15. Codec (Sans Serif)


Codec is a geometric sans serif type system, designed by Cosimo Lorenzo Pancini and Francesco Canovaro with Andrea Tartarelli. As in many contemporary typefaces that take inspiration from the constructionist logic of Futura, the design is defined by the small choices in the space between rigorous geometric perfection and minimal humanist corrections. But rather than solving this tension with a collection of arbitrary choices, Codec provides you with two coherent variant fonts built on the same base skeleton: Codec Cold and Codec Warm.

14. Coco Gothic


Coco Gothic is a contemporary take on the retro geometric sans serif style of early XX century typefaces like Futura and Avenir. Slightly rounded corners and a minimalistic design feel.

The name of the typeface family comes from the nickname of fashion beloved icon Coco Chanel.

It comes in six weights with matching italics and features an extended character set with open type support for small caps, ligatures, alternates, European languages, Greek and Cyrillic alphabets.

13. Typograph Pro Free Font


The ‘Pro’ in the name of this font should not be interpreted as having OpenType features. It has none. This amazing font was designed by Aleksander Petkov Aleksandrov.

What was the inspiration for designing the font? Inspired from the basic shapes like circle, cube, and triangle. Closer to basics means more useful in various projects.



Azonix is a modern sans-serif typeface. This typeface consists of bold geometric upper case letter, numbers, and punctuation (symbols). This font is free for personal & commercial use. It was created by MixoFX.

11. Panton


Inspired by the classic grotesque typefaces – Panton has his unique style, expressed in perfectly softened geometric forms.

The basic width of Panton type family was initially released on January 2015.

The huge variety of the Panton type system is making it suitable for headlines of all sizes, as well as for text blocks that come in both maximum and minimum variations. Its styles are applicable for any type of graphic design in web, print, motion graphics moreover perfect for T-shirts and other items like posters, logos, etc.

10. Apex


Apex Mk3, from Jeremy Nelson Design, is a robust display typeface, inspired by classic geometric forms, sans serifs, and workhorse athletic block type. Its simplicity gives it flexibility for a broad range of uses, while it’s geometric frame provides the foundation for its decisive tone.

Including seven weights, the family ranges from Thin (100) to Black (900).

This free version of Apex Mk3 includes 2 weights only ( Extra-light & Medium).

9. Muller


This font was specifically designed with a wider structure for better appearance in small sizes.

Due to its enormous success Muller, initially released on March 18th, 2015 was later extended further with Muller Narrow in May 31st, 2016 making the type family suited for everything, ranging from advertising, packaging, editorial, and branding, to web and screen projects.

Muller type family comes with a complete range of figure options, including proportional and old-style figures, each in its tabular version.

8. Guttenbay

4. Quantum


A bold typeface created by Gregory Ortiz. This typeface was inspired by his use of the shape builder tool and bold accents. He wanted to create a font family that his community can use and love.

3. Archive


Archive is a contemporary free font. Constructed with strong geometric forms. Applicable for any type of graphic design – web, print, motion graphics, etc and perfect for t-shirts and other items like posters, logos.

Moon is a rounded typeface, created by Jack Harvatt.

Available for personal use only, for commercial make sure you follow the instructions provided on the creators’ website.
